By servicing several pianos in the same area a normal £65 tuning can be reduced by around a third. This is known as a fine tuning to within one fifth of a semitone. Pitch raises or rough tuning in order to bring more wayward pianos into line , followed by fine tunings , are chargeable by the hour , and rarely cost more than £85 in total.
